DRAMA COMPETITIONS
Every spring since I started high school, I have participated in High School Drama Competitions, and every year I have qualified for state.
My freshman year, I competed with a humorous interpretation written by Bill Cosby. It was "To Russell, My Brother With Whom I Slept". I really enjoyed doing it and I met a lot of neat people.
The next year, a girl and I performed a duo scene entitled "Beyond Therapy". It was a little more difficult than "To Russell", but we had a lot of fun doing it.
Last year, I competed using a pantomime I wrote entitled "The Skydiver". I'd never done a mime before, so it was an interesting experience. I placed sixth in the state.
This year, I'm working with a friend on a scene from "Death of a Salesman" by Arthur Miller and we hope to do as well as last year.
