Babylon 5 Station Map
Completed in 2256, Babylon 5 was the ultimate result of the Babylon Project. Conceived on the heels of the Earth-Minbari War, the Babylon Project was designed as a way to prevent such a large-scale war from happening again. The first three Babylon stations were destroyed during construction, and Babylon 4 disappeared before becoming fully operational. On the fifth try, the project finally succeeded, and Babylon 5 came into existence.
Five miles long, the station sits at the L-5 position in a binary star system between a moon and Epsilon 3. The Epsilon system sits at a major crossroads between the main goverments in the galaxy, and any race wishing to attack another has to pass by Babylon 5 on their way through.
Babylon 5 hosts ambassadors ambassadors from the major galactic governments, and provides atmospheres for different species' needs. The station features cuisine from many planets across the galaxy and acts a port for many shipping operation.
Babylon 5 was commissined in 2256 and decommissioned in 2281.
