Lyta LYTA ALEXANDER
Lyta Alexander was a member of the Psi Corps assigned to Babylon 5. In 2258, Lyta went rogue and headed for Vorlon space. In 2260, she returned to Babylon 5 as the aide to the Vorlon ambassador, Kosh. When the Vorlons traveled beyond the Rim, she remained on Babylon 5. She left Babylon 5 in late 2262 to travel the galaxy with G'Kar, and was killed a few years later during the Telepath Crisis. Lyta was played by Patricia Tallman.

 

Zack ZACK ALLAN
Zack Allan was the second Assistant Chief of Security to Michael Garibaldi on Babylon 5. When Garibaldi resigned, Zack was appointed Chief of Security, a position which he held until the station's decommissioning in 2281. He was the last person to see President Sheridan before his death. Zack was played by Jeff Conway.

 

MALCOLM BRIDGES
Malcolm Bridges was a Ranger assigned to the Liandra in 2264. He was an infilitration and cover operations specialist, and he owned a changeling net, which he used to impersonate G'Kar. Bridges was played by Dean Marshall.

 

SARAH CANTRELL
Born on Mars, Sarah Cantrell was a Ranger assigned to the Liandra in 2264 as the weapons officer and tactical combat specialist. Cantrell was played by Miriam Sirois.

 

SARAH CHAMBERS
An Earthforce doctor, Sarah Chambers was assigned to the ISA Excalibur in 2267 when the ship began searching for a cure to the Drakh Plague. She has a sister and a niece on Earth. Chambers was played by Marjean Holden.

 

Marcus MARCUS COLE
Marcus Cole was a Ranger assigned to Babylon 5 in 2260. Early in the year, he escaped from a blockaded Anla-shok training facility and travelled to Babylon 5 for help. After freeing the Rangers, he remained on Babylon 5 until the end of the Shadow War. During one of the last battles, Marcus disobeyed orders and sacrificed his life for Susan Ivanova. She had his body placed in stasis until technology had advanced to the point where he could be revived. Three hundred years later, Marcus awoke to a much different galaxy. Using all his accumulated wealth, Marcus created a clone of Ivanova and gave her the original's memories. He arranged for a crash-landing on an out-of-the-way planet, where he hoped they could spend the rest of their lives together.

 

Delenn DELENN
In 2245, Delenn became a member of the Minbari ruling council, the Grey Council. Upon the death of the council's leader, it was Delenn's order which started the Earth-Minbari War, but it was also her order which led to the Minbari surrender at the Battle of the Line. When Babylon 5 came online in 2257, Delenn assumed the position as the Minbari ambassador in order to stay close to Jeffrey Sinclair. In 2258-59, Delenn underwent a metamorphosis, combining her DNA with human DNA. This act caused her to lose her place on the Grey Council, but she was able to retain her position as ambassador. In late 2261, she married ISA President John Sheridan and became the Minbari Ambassador to the ISA Advisory Board. In 2278, Delenn was elected ISA President, a position which she held for several years. Delenn was also leader of the Anla-Shok, and lived to be 140 years old. Delenn was played by Mira Furlan.

 

DULANN
Dulann was a Ranger assigned as first officer of the Liandra in 2264. During the Liandra's first mission under Captain David Martell, he showed signs of being a latent telepath. Dulann was played by Alex Zahara.

 

MAXIMILLIAN EILERSON
Max Eilerson was an archaeologist and linguist who worked for Interplanetary Expeditions (IPX). In 2267, Max Eilerson was working on a dig, when a Drakh ship crashed on the planet. Max and his team were rescued by the ISA Excalibur and he joined the crew on thier mission to find a cure for the Drakh Plague. Eilerson was played by David Allen Brooks.

 

FIRELL
Firell was a Ranger assigned to the Liandra as a healer in 2264. Firell was played by Enid-Raye Adams.

 

Franklin STEVEN FRANKLIN
Franklin was assigned to the position of Chief Medical Officer of Babylon 5 in 2258. During the Earth-Minbari War, Franklin, along with John Sheridan, was involved in a failed peace summit with the Minbari leader of the Anla-shok. During the summit, a Centuari vessel attacked and killed the Minbari leader, causing the Minbari to pursue the war more aggressively. In 2262, Franklin was appointed Head of Xenobiological Research at Earthdome, where he was still working when the Drakh attacked Earth in 2267. He was placed in charge of finding the cure for the Drakh Plague, and even visited the Excalibur in a quarantine capsule in an attempt to find the cure. Franklin was played by the late Richard Biggs

 

GALEN
Galen was a technomage who was initiated into the order in 2258. He fell in love with fellow technomage Isabel, who was killed in early 2259 by the Drakh and a rogue technomage. He disagreed with his people's decision to go into hiding and was eventually expelled from their hiding place for aiding the Interstellar Alliance. In 2267, he assisted the ISA Excalibur's crew in their quest for a cure to the Drakh Plague.

 

Garibaldi MICHAEL GARIBALDI
Garibaldi was assigned to Babylon 5 at the request of Commander Sinclair and against the advice of Sinclair's superiors due to Garibaldi's recurring alcoholism. Garibaldi served on Babylon 5 until he and Captain Sheridan had a falling out in 2261, at which time he resigned his position. The two eventually reconciled, and when the Interstellar Alliance was formed in early 2262, Sheridan hired Garibaldi as Director of Covert Intelligence. Later that year, Garibaldi's alcoholism returned and he was suspended from the position. In late 2262, Garibaldi again stopped drinking and moved to Mars, where he married an old girlfriend, Lise Hampton Edgars, the widow of Edgars Industries founder William Edgars. He assumed a CEO position at the company, where he was still employed when the Drakh Plague was released on Earth in 2267. Garibaldi was in charge of the construction of the Excalibur, the starship assigned to find the cure for the plague. Garibaldi was played by Jerry Doyle.

 

MATTHEW GIDEON
Matthew Gideon was given command of the ISA Excalibur in 2267, because Earthforce felt he was the best person to find a cure for the Drakh Plague ravaging Earth. Later that year, he developed a romantic relationship with Babylon 5 commander Elizabeth Lochley after they met at a conference on Mars. Gideon was played by Gary Cole.

 

G'Kar G'KAR
After his homeworld achieved freedom from the Centauri, G'Kar was assigned to Babylon 5 as the Narn ambassador. In 2259, he was relieved of his position when the Centauri reconquered Narn, but regained it again in 2261. From 2261 to 2262, G'Kar became something of a prophet among his people when a journal containing his insights was published without his knowledge. In 2262, G'Kar became the Narn ambassador to the Interstellar Alliance, and he even wrote the ISA's Declaration of Principles. In late 2262, G'Kar left Babylon 5 with Lyta Alexander to travel the galaxy, returning sometime before 2264. In 2264, G'Kar was instrumental in David Martel's appointment to captain the Liandra, and in 2278 G'Kar was killed while strangling his mortal enemy Londo Mollari. G'Kar was played by the late Andreas Katsulas.

 

Ivanova SUSAN IVANOVA
Ivanova was assigned to Babylon 5 as Sinclair's first officer in 2258. When Sinclair left the station, she stayed on as Sheridan's first officer. Upon the formation of the Interstellar Alliance in early 2262, Ivanova was given a promotion to captain by Earthforce and took command of the Warlock class starship Rising Star. By 2281, Ivanova held the rank of general in Earthforce, at which time she retired and took command of the Anla-shok at the request of Delenn. Ivanova was played by Claudia Christian.

 

Lochley ELIZABETH LOCHLEY
Captain Lochley took command of Babylon 5 in early 2262 at the request of her ex-husband, newly-elected Interstellar Alliance president John Sheridan. In 2267, Lochley was also assigned to oversee the Plague Eradication Management Strategies conference held on Mars, where she met Captain Matthew Gideon. The two quickly became friends, and their friendship eventually blossomed into romance. Lochley was played by Tracy Scoggins.

 

DAVID MARTEL
David Martel was given command of the Ranger ship Liandra in 2264 as a punishment for not fighting to the death in a losing battle. Only Citizen G'Kar's intervention kept him from being expelled from the Rangers. Martel was played by Dylan Neal.

 

JOHN MATHESON
John Matheson was the first officer of the ISA Excalibur in 2267. A telepath, Matheson was almost turned down for the position, but Captain Matthew Gideon refused to take the ship with Matheson as first officer. Matheson was played by Daniel Dae Kim.

 

Londo LONDO MOLLARI
Londo Mollari was the Centauri ambassador to Babylon 5 from 2257 until his appointment as Centauri Prime Minister in 2261. In 2262, Mollari became the Centauri ambassador to the Interstellar Alliance. Later than same year, the Centauri emperor died, and Mollari ascended to the throne. Unfortunately, he was just a puppet emperor, a front man for the Drakh who had taken over Centauri Prime behind the scenes following the Shadow War. Mollari was forced to watch as the Drakh and their allies bombed his homeworld, turning Centauri Prime into a virtual wasteland. In 2278, Mollari was killed at the hands of his mortal enemy G'Kar, killing him at the same time. Mollari was played by Peter Jurasik.

 

NA'FEEL
Na'Feel was a Ranger assigned to the Liandra in 2264. She was the ship's engines, environment, and weapon support specialist. She was the first Narn to serve aboard a Ranger vessel and no other captain would take her. Na'Feel was played by Jennie Rebecca Hogan.

 

DUREENA NAFEEL
Born on Zander Prime, a planet devastated during the Shadow War in 2261, Dureena Nafeel had a strong hatred for John Sheridan, blaming him for the death of her people. A member of the Thieves' Guild, Dureena traveled to Babylon 5 in 2267, where she met Sheridan and learned the truth about the destruction of her world. She was present when the Drakh Plague was release into Earth's atmosphere, and soon after joined the crew of the ISA Excalibur in their search for a cure. Dureena was played by Carrie Dobro.

 

Kosh KOSH NARANEK
Kosh was a member of the enigmatic Vorlon race, and was the ambassador to Babylon 5 from 2257 to 2260. Lyta Alexander served as his aid upon her return from Vorlon space until his death in 2260. Kosh was voiced by Ardwight Chamberlain.

 

KITARO SASAKI
Kitaro Sasaki was a Ranger assigned to the Liandra in 2264 as the ship's navigation, communication, and translation specialist. Sasaki was played by Warren Takeuchi.

 

Sheridan JOHN SHERIDAN
Captain Sheridan took command of Babylon 5 in 2259. A hero of the Earth-Minbari War, Sheridan was known as Star-killer to the Minbari. Despite the enmity between the Minbari and Sheridan, he eventually fell in love with and married the Minbari ambassador Delenn. Upon the defeat of the Shadows and the formation of the Interstellar Alliance in early 2262, Sheridan was named President. Sheridan was played Bruce Boxleitner.

 

Sinclair JEFFREY SINCLAIR
Commander Sinclair was the first commander of the Babylon 5 space station. Sinclair was a veteran of the Earth-Minbari War, and served with distinction during the Battle of the Line. Sometime during the battle, he apparently passed out, awakening 24 hours later with no memory of the events which ended the battle. In 2256, he took command of Babylon 5 at the personal request of the Minbari government. In early 2259, he was recalled to Earth, where the Minbari Grey Council requested his assignment as the Earth ambassador to Minbar. He accepted the position and was also placed in command of an ancient Minbari guardian force, the Anla-shok or Rangers. Sinclair was played by Michael O'Hare.

 

TIRK
Tirk was a Drazi Ranger assigned to the Liandra in 2264. He was the first Drazi to serve on a Ranger vessel. Tirk is not a Drazi name, and he once said it was created by his mother, meaning, "Don't touch me, I'm not having another child after this, ever." Tirk was played by Gus Lynch.

 

Talia TALIA WINTERS
Talia Winters was a commercial telepath and a member of Psi Corps assigned to Babylon 5 from 2258 to 2259. Upon Lyta Alexander's return from Vorlon space, it was discovered that Talia was a victim of Psi Corps mind control and a previously implanted personality took over her body, destroying her true self. Talia was played by Andrea Thompson.
